This journal is out-of-date and no longer updated! Please check the Soul Pool Blessings Guide on Tokotna for current information!

The Soul Pool is where you can apply bonuses to your tokota using Elemental Hearts, which are a rare item that can be found in Caving or Diving under normal circumstances.

Deep in the White Forest of Tokotna lies the Soul Pool, where the elder shamans say that Aippaq took their first breath. These deeply spiritual waters can grant great power to a tokota if the right gift is brought - the gift of an Elemental Heart. Do you wish for the gifts of Aippaq? Step forward and receive your blessings.

Item Blessings

  • Elemental Companion: Provides a 20% chance to bring back 1-2 trait token(s) from any caving/diving expedition, in addition to the regular item roll (i.e. they will be rolled on top of the maximum number of items retrieved). Can only be applied to Dominant tokotas.
  • Firefly Companion: Provides an increased chance to find Stone of Aippaq during exploring/caving/diving expeditions. Can only be applied to Dominant tokotas.
  • Spirit Dove Companion: Provides a +1 increase to the minimum litter size in breeding. Can only be applied to Dominant tokotas.
  • Stylist Token: +10% chance to inherit a chosen trait, gene or mane type from a parent when breeding (One time use).

Blessings for Any Tokota

  • Remove one birth defect from your tokota (Blind, Deaf, Spinal Defects, Lame, Frail).

Dominant-Only Blessings

  • Your tokota gains one extra hereditary trait slot (May only do this once per tokota).
  • Your tokota gains one extra companion slot (May only do this once per tokota).
  • Your choice of one of the following traits:
    1. Mimic - If this tokota is used in a breeding with a Hereditary Mutation, they would count as a parent with the same mutation for pass chance. This does not boost above two parents.
    2. Blessed - Your tokota can only encounter positive random events.
    3. Elemental Sight - Allows your tokota to find elemental hearts in exploration.
    4. Runic Sight - Allows your tokota to find Stones of Aippaq in Fishing and Hunting.
    5. Fragmented Sight - Allows your tokota to find matching Totem Fragments in their Activities and Totem Pouches in Dom Activities.
  • Add a second tier to one of the following traits (trait must be applied to your tokota):
    1. Passionate II: Tokota is able to be bred 2 times over the standard monthly limit.
    2. Ancient Blood II: Pups (from breedings in which one parent is akota) have a 15% higher chance of being akota built.
    3. Nanook’s Shadow II: Pups have a +20% chance of inheriting the coat of the darker parent. (Eg. Breedings between tundra and tawny base coats will have a higher chance of tawny, breedings between brown and black base coats will have a higher chance of black, etc.)
    4. Oddball II: Pups have a significantly higher chance to inherit any physical trait (so long as one parent has a physical trait.)
    5. Mediator II: Provides a 60+ increase to taming odds when depicted in a taming entry. (Must be full body)
    6. Sedna's Light II: Pups have a +20% chance of inheriting the coat of the lighter parent. (Eg. Breedings between tundra and tawny base coats will have a higher chance of tundra, breedings between brown and black base coats will have a higher chance of brown, etc.)
    7. Talented Lineage II: Pups have a significantly higher chance of inheriting non-physical traits. (Does not stack with Pygmy Goat or Lovebirds.)
    8. Superstar II: +3 HP bonus points awarded to other Tokotas included in the same image. (Your tokota will give an HP bonus for being depicted in the same image, but will not receive one itself.)
    9. Exemplary Dire Blood II: Only applies to dire tokotas
If female can be bred up to 14 times in lifetime. If male can be bred up to 17 times in lifetime.
    10. Mauja's Draw II: Pups have a greatly increased chance of inheriting a random mutation. (Chimerism, Albinism, Bloodmark, or any Hereditary mutations present in the breeding.)

Looking for Physical Trait applications? Those are applied in the Design Central, and now use of require Soul Pool Water.
All other blessings are applied in the Tokota Tokens Bank.

Wondering, what the sense of Leadership II is... When you need to get your Toko to dom, before you can upgrade to II and it goes like "yeah, now you only need 180 HP" - its kinda too late? Maybe I don't get it right xD
